India vs Pakistan is amongst cricket’s greatest rivalries and could face off as many as 7 times in a few days. The Asia Cup 2023 may have 3 IND vs PAK games in store. The two teams also face off in the Asian Games and the World Cup 2023. Tensions flaring is a common sight in these games, with Shikhar Dhawan suggesting the IND vs PAK match is more important than winning the World Cup. The video has since been deleted.

Dhawan, who played against Pakistan in 6 ICC tournaments, had a simple message for the Indian Cricket Team – Don’t lose to Pakistan.

In a now-deleted video, Shikhar Dhawan joked, “It has always been the case of ‘Whether or not you win the World Cup, don’t lose to Pakistan’ (laughs).”

He later added that winning the World Cup was the ultimate goal for the team.

“But winning the World Cup is also important, and by God’s grace, hopefully we will. There’s definitely excitement (while playing Pakistan) but also a lot of pressure. There’s definitely a satisfying feeling playing against them when the match ends. Whenever I have played Pakistan, we have won mostly. The intensity on the field is also high, but there’s also some light chat with them,” he said.
