Meanwhile, a video of a Pakistani fan is going viral on the social media. In the video, an elderly aged person was captured playing shadow cricket.

The video shows an elderly man playing ‘imagined cricket,’ attempting to hit a shot to an imaginary bowler. His joyous expression after happily smacking a six off a bouncer is a sight to behold.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani cricketers are involved in the ongoing Lanka Premier League. The likes of Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Nawaz among others are featuring in the competition.

The highly anticipated match between India and archrival Pakistan, which was originally slated for October 15, has been changed a day early to avoid a conflict with Navaratri. While Pakistan’s game against Sri Lanka, which was initially scheduled for October 12, will now be played on October 10 in Hyderabad, allowing for a three-day break before their game with India.

The World Cup will begin on October 8 with India’s first match against Australia in Chennai, followed by Pakistan’s first two games in Hyderabad on October 6 and October 12.
