Sasur-Damaad Shahid Afridi, Shaheen Afridi Pull Off Identical Celebrations

The father-in-law and son-in-law duo picked up two wickets each and celebrated in a similar fashion despite being thousands of miles away from each other.

‘Sasur and Damaad’ duo of Shahid Afridi and Shaheen Afridi recently gave their fans a major nostalgia. To note, the pair picked up two wickets each, on the same day, playing in different competitions but pulled off identical celebrations! At present, Shaheen is participating in the ongoing Hundred competition. On the other hand, Shahid was part of the Global Canada T20 League which was completed recently.

As mentioned above, the father-in-law and son-in-law duo picked up two wickets each and celebrated in a similar fashion despite being thousands of miles away from each other. While Shaheen scalped the wickets of opener Philip Salt and Laurie Evans the Men’s Hundred competition, Shahid Afridi dismissed prominent names such as Rassie van der Dussen and his former Pakistan teammate, as well as Shaheen’s current teammate Mohammad Rizwan.

Welsh Fire started their Hundred 2023 campaign on a positive note as they registered a nine-run victory over Manchester Originals in a rain-curtailed match. Due to the rain, the match was reduced to 40 balls-per side. Welsh posted a total of 94 for 3. Later, the Originals were restricted to 85 for 4 with Shaheen returning figures of 2 for 24 in 10 balls. Meanwhile, Shahid represented Toronto Nationals in the recently concluded Global T20 Canada competition.
