With a 2-0 lead against India in the ongoing 5-match T20I series, hosts West Indies will go all guns blazing in the 3rd game to secure and seal the series. The hosts have made a solitary change where Roston Chase has replaced Jason Holder. West Indies will continue to depend on their pace-heavy team which has worked wonders for the team.
West Indies won the first game by 4 runs and then retained the same team for the 2nd T20I in Guyana. Here the hosts clinched a stunning 2- wicket win to take a hefty 2-0 lead in the series. But now the question remains, should West Indies make any changes in the playing XI?
West Indies to go with same XI
The hosts will be unwilling to tinker with their playing XI. The same squad has been dynamic and most important has yielded results. Contrary to the Indian side which has gone into the games with a spin-heavy side, West Indies have played with an extra pacer and have got crucial wickets not to help India build any vital stands in both games.
But Jason Holder who has a knee injury has been replaced by Roston Chase. With a chance to seal the series with a win, West Indies will not look to experiment with their team. They can however do it in the USA for the last 2 games of the series.
Nicholas Pooran continues to Haunt India
Arguably one of the best players in the West Indies team, wicket-keeper Nicholas Pooran has been destructive in both games so far. In the first game, he smashed 41 off 34 balls to etch out a win. In the second game, he slammed 67 from 40 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes, unleashing havoc on Indian spinner Ravi Bisnoi.
