Furious netizens slam Shubman Gill after yet another failure in IND vs WI 2nd T20I

Shubman Gill's struggle in overseas continued as the Indian opener got dismissed cheaply in IND vs WI 2nd T20I.

Indian opener Shubman Gill has once again failed to impress with the bat in the IND vs WI 2nd T20I at Providence Stadium in Guyana. Gill was dismissed for just 7 runs off 9 balls by Alzarri Joseph.

Gill’s poor form has raised questions about his place in the Indian team, especially with the Asia Cup and World Cup approaching later this year. The 22-year-old has only one fifty-plus score in 11 innings.

Jaiswal or Gill? – A dilemma for Rohit and Dravid

Gill’s concerning form has raised question about his place and many Indian cricket fans have demanded picking Yashasvi Jaiswal over Gill. Jaiswal has been in stunning form in recent international games.

Jaiswal made his Test debut against West Indies in July 2023, and scored a brilliant 171 in his second innings followed by a fifty in 2nd Test.

Gill, on the other hand, has failed to impress with the bat in the recent international games. His last noteworthy innings was in IND vs WI 3rd ODI where he scored 85. With Asia Cup looming, Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid might have to make some strong calls to strengthen the batting department.
