A recent report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful claims that the 14-time World Champion is not fit to compete due to medical issues.

Possible Return Of Randy Orton In WWE SummerSlam 2023 After Detroit Appearance
One of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, Randy Orton’s absence has been a major setback for the organisation.
The Apex Predator underwent surgery for a back issue that kept him out of play for more than a year. In May 2022, he and Matt Riddle competed in their final match inside the squared circle, losing to The Usos in a Tag Title Unification Match. After the match, The Bloodline viciously attacked the team, which provided a kayfabe justification for Orton’s absence for back fusion surgery.
Randy Orton Possibly Returning In WWE SummerSlam 2023 After Detroit Appearance
Recently, it was reported that Randy Orton was preparing for his comeback to the ring against his doctor’s advice to the contrary.
Even though Orton has resumed lifting, Sapp recently stated that he has not been given the go-ahead to compete. Sapp claims that Orton is not included in WWE’s creative planning, so fans shouldn’t anticipate a possible comeback at SummerSlam. Although doctors have advised Orton not to wrestle again, he still plans to do so.
It is still unknown if Randy Orton will appear on screen or if he will be involved in WWE SummerSlam in some other way. If he makes a comeback inside the ring, it will be interesting to watch who he chooses to fight.
