According to Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Paul and Diaz have agreed to prolong their fight on August 5 to 10 rounds, subject to the Texas Combative Sports Program’s approval. Looks like Nate wanted to annoy Jake Paul ahead of the match, but to his surprise, Jake has agreed to his demand.

Nate Diaz Request For a 10-Rounds Boxing Fight Against Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz, a former UFC fighter, made a strategic move by agreeing to extend his forthcoming battle with Jake Paul to 10 rounds.

On August 5 in Dallas, Diaz and Paul will fight in one of the biggest boxing bouts of the year. Diaz will enter the professional boxing ring after a protracted, fruitful career in mixed martial arts with the UFC.

Paul and Diaz have agreed to extend the fight from eight to 10 rounds prior to their battle. For the first time in his boxing career, Paul will be engaged in a 10-round fight.

Paul first suggested making it a 10-round battle, and Diaz was eager to comply. It appears that this was a ploy by the Stockton star.

Diaz made a suggestion that Paul was the target of the talks over the fight’s round count during a recent interview with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.

Diaz has a reputation for picking up the tempo as the fight progresses, adding intrigue to a 10-round boxing match. Given his combat background against high talent, it might work to his benefit.

Prior to their fight, Diaz and Paul have stayed largely amicable, but as the starting bell approaches, tensions are predicted to rise.

Longtime MMA champion Diaz has never had a professional boxing title. After defeating Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in September of last year, the 38-year-old exited the organisation, potentially bringing an end to an illustrious career in which Diaz earned a reputation for his unyielding determination.

Paul, who will be making his professional boxing debut, is coming off of his first setback, a split-decision loss against Tommy Fury. Paul had previously fought against fellow social media stars, professional athletes, and former MMA fighters, but this was his first matchup with a professional boxer.
