Pakistan captain and Colombo Strikers batter Babar Azam continues his “no betting ad” clause in the Lanka Premier League 2023. The 28-year-old batter has a “no betting ad” clause on his contract as and he was spotted sharing his belief in the first game of LPL 2023 against Jaffna Kings. Azam was spotted playing for the Strikers without any betting labels on his jersey and helmet.
Previously, Babar Azam made it very clear that he will not promote betting as it is considered to be anti-Islamic. He also had also previously informed the Lanka franchise that he will not take part in any promotional activities regarding these betting brands and companies.
On the contrary, though betting is deemed illegal in Pakistan, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently had a betting website as their partner.
