Sadio Mane begins talks with Al Nassr, Bayern Munich Exit ‘imminent’

Mane has two years left on his contract with Bayern after a disappointing first season since joining from Liverpool last year.

Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane is all set to part ways with the German club and Saudi club Al Nassr is likely to be his next destination. Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer confirmed on Wednesday that the club has been informed about Mane agent in talks with the Saudi club.

“FC Bayern is informed about this,” club president Herbert Hainer said in Japan during a pre-season tour, in quotes reported by German news agency dpa. “But these are initial talks, you have to wait and see.”

Notably, the Senegalese international had a tough season with the Bundesliga champions as he could score only 12 goals and assist six times in 38 appearances.

The former Liverpool player also came under spotlight after he picked up a fight with fellow teammate Leroy Sane post club’s Champions league quarter-final first leg defeat to Manchester City.

He was later suspended for one game by Bayern for “misconduct”.

Mane not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans: Reports

Several reports have claimed that Mane is not in club manager Thomas Tuchel’s long-term plans and he wishes the player to be offloaded.

Notably, Mane has two years left on his contract with Bayern after a disappointing first season since joining from Liverpool last year.

“You are killing me everyday”

Mane’s frustration with the German club and media was visible on Tuesday when he refused to acknowledge the German media.

A frustrated Mane told one reporter, “you are killing me everyday”, when a German reporter approached him to answer a question.
