Kylian Mbappe set to become world’s highest-paid athlete on accepting Al Hilal’s offer

If KYLIAN MBAPPE successfully completes his transfer to Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League this summer, he would become the highest-paid athlete of all time.

If he completes a record-breaking transfer to Al-Hilal this summer, KYLIAN MBAPPE will become the highest-paid athlete of all time. On Monday, the Saudi Pro League club made an eye-watering £259MILLION bid for the Frenchman.

Officials at the club are allegedly willing to pay him £11.6 million each week. This amounts to more than £600 million every year.

Mbappe’s planned salary would make him the highest-paid athlete of all time, perhaps surpassing Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar. When Ronaldo joined Saudi club Al Nassr in January, he became the world’s highest-paid athlete.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner now earns £173 million per year, a significant rise from his prior salary at Manchester United.

Karim Benzema, a former Real Madrid colleague, receives a comparable salary at Al-Ittihad. Benzema moved from the Santiago Bernabeu to the Shining Jewel last month, and he now earns £172 million per year.

Phil Mickelson, a golfer, also makes a lot of money after joining the Saudi-owned LIV Golf League when it initially started. Along with N’Golo Kante and Neymar, Barcelona icon Messi is among the world’s highest-paid athletes.

Max Verstappen, the two-time Formula One world champion, earns £44 million per year, substantially more than his opponent Lewis Hamilton. And NBA stars Nikola Jokic and Stephen Curry are the highest-paid players in the game, with each making more than £42 million per year.

PSG is looking to offload Mbappe, who has entered the last year of his contract. He handed club executives with a former letter last month stating his refusal to sign a contract extension.
