With India in a commanding position in the IND vs WI 2nd Test, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli was seen dancing while enjoying his breakfast pancakes before the start of Day 3 at Queen’s Oval Park. Kohli, who is playing his 500th match, made his 29th Test century and took India to a total of 438 in the first innings.
A big reason behind Kohli’s breaking into a dance while practicing could be his recent returns with the bat. The former skipper has had an excellent 2023 as a Test batter after averaging under 30 for three consecutive seasons (2020, 2021, and 2022). It seems like he has finally returned to his old self.
In the ongoing series, the right-hander is the second-highest run-scorer, behind just Yashasi Jaiswal and has scored 50+ runs in both innings (76 and 121) he’s played so far. In the seven Tests he’s played this year, he is averaging 55.70 with 2 centuries and 1 fifty to his name.

His showing of emotions by busting a move is a very good sign for Kohli himself and Team India. It seems like Kohli is enjoying himself at the moment, and as evident earlier in his career, he is at his best when he is expressing himself. Whether it be while he is batting, interacting with players, the umpire, and the crowd, dancing, or having a joke in the middle.
