KSCA Maharaja Trophy Auction: The first-ever auction of the Maharaja Trophy has come to an emd on July 22 (Saturday). Abhinav Manohar, who plays for Gujarat Titans in the IPL became the most expensive buy. He was picked up by Shivamogga Lions for 15 Lakhs. Devdutt Padikkal and Mayank Agarwal also drew a heavy paycheque at the auction.

A total of 700 players will participate in the Auction
Ahead of the second season, the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2023 player auction was held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, July 22. Each franchise had a total purse of INR 50 lakhs. Players participating in the auction were divided into four categories.
Category A: India and IPL players
Category B: All senior players that have played BCCI State tournaments such as Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ranji Trophy, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Category C: Players that have played in all other BCCI tournaments
Category D: All other registered players of KSCA
Karnataka state stars such as Mayank Agarwal, Devdutt Padikkal and Manish Pandey were among 700 cricketers who were picked up during the player auction here on Saturday, ahead of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20.
M Chinnaswamy Stadium will host all the matches from August 14 to 30. The two new teams added to the tournament are Mangaluru Dragons and Shivamogga Lions. With this, the number of teams in the league have been expanded to six.
