Yashasvi Jaiswal – done, Rohit Sharma – done. But the wait was for Virat Kohli to raise his bat. He came close in the 1st Test. But at Queen’s Park Oval, it was King Kohli who dominated with 29th Test century taking his tally to 76 international tons. But there was no thumping fist in the air celebration. Instead, it was Virat Kohli 2.0. King took a leaf out of Prince Shubman Gill’s book, bowing to the sparse crowd present at the stadium as India ruled in IND vs WI 2nd Test.
Virat Kohli played like a man possessed by supremacy. He kept on leaving the balls in the corridor of uncertainty. The balls on the off side has been plaguing him and forcing him to make a mistake more often than not.

But there was no such no such hurry. He was as patient as a monk, playing 181 balls to bring up his 29th Test ton. His knock included just 11 boundaries including one that he hit to bring up the most-awaited Test hundred. It was also his 12th ton against West Indies and first in five years outside India.
And as he reached the milestone, he was in no hurry. There was no aggression. He walked up to his partner Ravindra Jadeja, shook hands and shared a hug before bowing down to the crowd and kissing his locket. The entire celebration played out exactly how Shubman Gill has been celebrating his centuries after centuries.
