Following a successful return, Mike Tyson sought to win a $620 million prize to compete for the heavyweight title.

Tyson, who was over fifty when he made a comeback, wanted to fight the current heavyweight champion for a staggering sum of money.

Iron Mike was preparing for his fight with Roy Jones Jr. when WBC champion Tyson Fury revealed the conditions set forth in a Zoom call by Tyson regarding a potential exhibition between the two.

Tyson, after whom “The Gipsy King” was called by his father John in the 1980s, was willing to spar with him.

Despite his late age, Tyson wanted to resume fighting and thought Fury was well-known enough to do so.

Fury’s interview suggested that Tyson was planning a lucrative payoff for a PR stunt-style event.

Fury told iFL TV, There was mention of it. His staff got in touch with Fury. And Fury spoke on the phone with Mike. Everything was real, but it never happened. They would have received peanuts from whoever was offering Mike the money for his comeback.

Mike Tyson had said that he had demanded $620 million, but when the papers arrived at Fury, he said the amount on the paper was a joke “It was crazy”.

This is why instead of fighting Mike Tyson, Fury later went on to fight Deontay Wilder again He defeated Derek Chisora [again] and Dillian Whyte more recently.

Despite Oleksandr Usyk repeatedly complying with Fury’s contract requirements, a fight with him was unsuccessful.
