The Asia Cup 2023 is just around the corner and this once again elevates the age-old India vs Pakistan rivalry. This year’s tournament will witness the two rival nations placed in Group B and there is a high probability that the two sides will face each other 3 times in the tournament.
Pakistan is set to begin its Asia Cup campaign on 30th August against minnows Nepal at Multan, India on the other hand will kick start its tournament journey against Pakistan on 2nd September at Kandy. Irrespective of the outcome of the group stage, should Pakistan qualify for Supr 4s, they will be dubbed as A1, while India will be A2.

Asia Cup 2023 Groups
Group A: Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh
Group B: India, Pakistan, Nepal
It should be smooth sailing for both the heavyweights, i.e India and Pakistan in to the next stage, i.e the Super 4s. The two sides will once again lock in an entertaining battle and in the second match will play against either team from the other group. If both India and Pakistan make it to Super 4s, then the second clash of the series will take place on 10th September at Kandy.
If both India and Pakistan continue to perform well in the Super 4s, then there will be a third encounter, i.e the all-important Asia Cup 2023 finals on the 17th of September.
