Head coach Rahul Dravid will get some rest with VVS Laxman set to helm the team in Ireland. Dravid and his staff are currently in the Caribbean but will return home after the tour. Laxman, who has filled in for Dravid in the past, will take over responsibilities in the India vs Ireland series.

As per Cricbuzz, Rahul Dravid, the head coach of India, and his assistants will take a mini break following the current series against the West Indies. His coaching staff will also take a small vacation. In their absence, VVS Laxman and his NCA staff will resume responsibilities in Ireland. Sitanshu Kotak and Hrishikesh Kanitkar (batting) and Troy Cooley and Sairaj Bahutule (bowling) will be in contention to make the trip.
The coaching staff’s absence in the India vs Ireland series. It is primarily to give them time to rest and recover before the Asia Cup, which begins on August 31 and is followed by a number of commitments, including a three-match ODI series against Australia, before the World Cup’s conclusion on November 19.
Laxman has previously taken up the role in place of Dravid. The NCA chief was at the helm on India’s previous tour to Ireland when Hardik Pandya led side play two T20Is. He was also on the job during the Asia Cup 2022 when Dravid contracted COVID-19.
