Team India is set to take on West Indies in the second Test match slated to start from July 20 onwards. The visitors will want to win the second game as well to whitewash West Indies. However, team India will also be keen to win the game as a loss against the home team might hamper their chances of staying at the top of the ICC Test rankings.

At present, Rohit Sharma and Co have a rating of 121 as they sit on the top spot. They are followed by Australia at number two with 116 points. The current WTC champs are facing England in a five-match Test series and have a golden chance to claim the top stop and push India to the second spot.
Here’s how the scenarios can unfold:
India beat West Indies 2-0
Aussies are leading the five-match series 2-1 against England. If India defeats WI by a margin of 2-0, then Australia will have to win the Ashes by a minimum margin of 4-1 to take the top spot from Rohit Sharma and Co.
India beat West Indies 1-0
If the second game between West Indies and India ends in a draw then the Aussies will have to win the Ashes by a minimum margin of 3-1. However, that might not come easy against a fired-up English side.
India vs West Indies ends at 1-1
The Pat Cummins-led side will have two ways to claim the top spot if India end up losing the second Test against West Indies.
1. If the last two Tests of the Ashes end in draws and Australia win the series 2-1.
2. If Australia win the five-match Test series 3-2
