IND vs WI Highlights: India have wrapped up a very big victory to kickstart their WTC final defeating West Indies in their own turf by an innings and 141 runs! The spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were the architects of the win sharing nine wickets between them in the second innings and eight in the first as Ashwin finishes with 12 wickets in the match.

West Indies resumed their innings from 27/2 after tea and continued losing wickets at regular interval with Ashwin bagging 7/71. Jadeja bowled 21 overs and ended with figures of 2/38. Mohammed Siraj bowled well in his second spell and got one wicket to send Joshua Da Silva back.

Debutant Alick Athanaze was the top scorer once again for West Indies scoring just 28 runs in 44 balls. Jason Holder remained unbeaten at 20 in 50 balls but did not find much support throughout the order as Ashwin dominated and destroyed the batting order dismissing West Indies for a paltry 130.

India enjoyed another successful day on Day 2 of the Test match, as they built a substantial lead of 162 runs with eight wickets in hand. Although both Rohit and Gill were dismissed in quick succession, Kohli entered the crease and stabilized the innings. Meanwhile, Jaiswal remained unbeaten and inched closer to a remarkable 150 runs.

The West Indies faced a major setback when their potent bowler Rakheem Cornwall was unable to continue due to an injury. As a result, they had to rely on other bowlers who posed less of a threat. India’s objective for Day 3 will be to extend their lead in the first innings as much as possible, ensuring they won’t have to bat again in this match.
