IND vs WI LIVE Score: Debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal will eyeing a double century when he will come out to bat on Day 3 of IND vs WI 1st Test. The young opener ended Day 2 on 143* alongside Virat Kohli who stayed unbeaten on 36.
For West Indies, early wickets are their only way back into this game. If they manage to break this partnership and chip in few more wickets in quick intervals, they can make a comeback in this game.
Earlier, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal with Virat Kohli frustrated the home side as India finished at 312/2 on Day 2 with lead of 162 runs.
Jaiswal scored a brilliant debut century after lunch. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma also notched up his 10th Test ton but was dismissed by Alick Athanaze. That wicket gave the hosts some period of control as Shubman Gill fell cheaply. However, Virat Kohli played out the last session with grit.
India will build a big score on Day 2 while hoping to avoid batting again in the Test match. West Indies had a disappointing Day 1, being bowled out for a meagre 150. Alick Athanaze was the only standout performer with a solid 47 on his debut. Poor shot selections cost West Indies dearly. Their bowling showed promise despite not taking any wickets. They will look to capitalize on the turning conditions and bring more energy on Day 2.
