Talk about sensational, talk about a match-winner and that is what Mohammed Siraj did when he went on to dispatch Jermaine Blackwood in sublime fashion. A stunning catch helped Ravindra Jadeja get his first wicket in the game as India headed to the lunch break with 4 wickets in their pockets.

Arguably the best wicket of the morning session was taken by Siraj. A stellar catch saw Blackwood departing back to the pavilion after managing to score just 14 runs which consisted of just a solitary boundary.

Though Mohammed Siraj had scratched his elbow in taking a mind-boggling catch, but it was worth the effort. A tossed-up delivery from Jadeja pitched outside the off stump forced Blackwood to go over the top. Such was the flight of the ball that the batter failed to make any movement with the foot and attempted a hasty shot with both his feet grounded on the crease.

A bit of mistiming as the ball went on to hit the side blade of the bat and take the aerial route. Mohammed Siraj had to make some adjustments on his running track as he stretched out his right hand to take a blinder of his catch as the hosts were reduced to our four wickets and the lunch being called.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the hosts got off to a decent start as Brathwaite and Chanderpaul fended off the early onslaught from Siraj and Unadkat. On came Ravichandran Ashwin as he scalped two quick wickets. Shardul Thakur then added a third wicket and Jadeja’s dismissal of Blackwood marked the end of the first session with West Indies managing to score 68 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
