IND vs BAN LIVE Score: New look India women’s team take on Bangladesh ahead of Asian Games 2023
The Indian women’s team had their last outing in the Women’s T20 World Cup back in February, with the exception of their participation in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Since then, the players have not been actively involved in any matches. The upcoming tour of Bangladesh holds immense importance for the Indian team, as it serves as crucial preparation for the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, scheduled for September.
In view of this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made significant changes to the squad. Renuka Singh Thakur and Richa Gosh are noticeable omissions, although there has been no official clarification regarding their absence. Furthermore, experienced fast bowler Shikha Pandey has been excluded, creating an opportunity for new players to showcase their skills.
The upcoming six-match series provides India with a prime chance to evaluate their bench strength and assess the abilities of the fresh talents in the squad. The team’s objective will be to secure a comprehensive victory over Bangladesh, enabling them to build momentum and boost their confidence for the upcoming Asian Games.
