Watch Nicolas Jarry lose his way on centre court before clash vs Carlos Alcaraz

In a funny incident at the Wimbledon on Saturday, Nicolas Jarry lost his way after entering the centre court. Instead of walking towards the players chair, Jarry walked the other way erupting the crowd in laughter.

Wimbledon 2023: In a funny incident at the Wimbledon on Saturday, Nicolas Jarry lost his way after entering the centre court. The 25th seed was making his way into the court along with his opponent World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz. Instead of walking towards the players chair, Jarry walked the other way waving to the crowd, making them erupt in laughter.

The incident occurred just ahead of the third round clash between both the players. It was the first match at the centre court on the day. Jarry was also making his way into the centre court for the first time.

Soon after entering it he went to the right side waving to the crowd. Alcaraz went the correct way and was smiling at his opponent. Realsing what he has done, Jarry changed his direction and shared a hearty laugh with his opponent.

Alcaraz wins the contest

Nicolas Jarry gave a terrific fight against Alcaraz. However Alcaraz managed to come through the testing encounter with a 6-3 6-7(6) 6-3 7-5 victory. With the win, he is set to face either Alexander Zverev or Matteo Berrettini in the fourth round.

Alcaraz claimed the first set easily after a solitary break. Jarry quickly turned around the contest as he raced into a 4-1 lead in the second. Alcaraz managed to take the contest into the tie-breaker. Jarry however clinched the set finally to level the match. It was the first time Alcaraz dropped a set in the tournament.

Alcaraz got back into the contest to take the third set. In the fourth set, Jarry raced to a 3-0 lead at the start of the fourth. Pushed to this situation, Alcaraz brought out his best as he wrapped up the match with two breaks.
