International stars like Pakistani skipper Babar Azam, former Bangladeshi captain and star-allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, and one of the best finishers in the world, David Miller, will be part of the Lanka Premier League 2023 (LPL 2023) beginning July 30. While Babar will play for the Colombo Strikers, Shakib will represent the Galle Titans, and Miller will don the Jaffna Kings jersey.
Star Sports will telecast the league in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, the Maldives, and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, including the UAE.
The local flavour will be provided by Thisara Perera, Wanindu Hasaranga, Angelo Mathews, and limited-overs Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka.

The games of the fourth season will be held at two venues: Colombo and Kandy.
The Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Aura, Galle Titans, Jaffna Kings, and B-Love Kandy will be the five teams fighting for the title. Moreover, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has also taken ownership of the B-Love Kandy Cricket Team for the upcoming tournament.
Recently, the Sri Lankan cricket team qualified for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023, to be held in India in October and November.
