Drew McIntyre’s Surprise Entry
Recently, at WWE Money in the Bank 2023. Gunther retained the Intercontinental Championship against Matt Riddle. Following the end of the match, Drew McIntyre made a surprise appearance. The Scottish Warrior’s theme played and he walked out and joined Gunther inside the ring. The two WWE Superstars then had a staredown, after which McIntyre delivered a Glasgow Kiss and a Claymore kick to Gunther. McIntyre then picked up the IC title and held it high.
Though McIntyre made his return at the premium live event, the question still remains the same.
Is Drew McIntyre still leaving Amid a surprise entry at Money in the Bank 2023?
Previously, it was reported that Drew McIntyre’s current contract with WWE is set to expire in 2024. However, according to the latest reports, despite McIntyre’s return to WWE at Money in the Bank 2023, the WWE Superstar has not yet signed a new deal with the company.
Hence, the decision of McIntyre to stay within the company past his contract expiration is yet to be made.
However, during the post Money in the Bank 2023 press conference, Triple H stated “If Drew had an issue, it’s news to me. He was just out, with an injury and getting some stuff fixed. While he was out, he had something else he wanted to get fixed so we did it and here he is.”
Thus, going by the chief content officer’s words we might assume that McIntyre might decide to renew his deal with the promotion.
However, Drew McIntyre’s final decision is yet to be known.
