UFC Fight Update: UFC News: The Saudis have postponed the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury undisputed heavyweight championship match until January, which is awful news for fans. This is thought to be in response to the summer battles between Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, and Usyk. Follow Boxing News Updates with InsideSports.IN.

It would be extremely dangerous for the Saudis to hold their tournament in December given that those four boxers are in action during the summer and have little time to recover. Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), the IBF, WBA, and WBO heavyweight champion, will defend his titles against Daniel Dubois in September, although the outcome is far from inevitable.

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk’s Fight Might Be Delayed Again- Boxing Update

Due to a new postponement, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk won’t be fighting this year for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

As a result of Usyk’s unexpected acceptance of a 70/30 pay split in favour of his challenger, the heavyweight champions were scheduled to face off at the end of April. Despite the fight being approved, talks stalled because the parties could not agree on a rematch provision in the contract.

The fight between Fury and Usyk would have taken place on the same bill as Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder in a significant heavyweight event that was initially expected to take place in Saudi Arabia in December. But now that Saudi Arabia has decided to postpone the bout until January, Fury’s promoter has officially announced that the undisputed fight will no longer take place.

If Dubois defeats Usyk, he will meet WBC champion Fury for the undisputed in Saudi Arabia in January. It is anticipated that Fury’s bout for October will be revealed soon. He might compete in a boxing/MMA hybrid event. If the World Boxing Council decides to approve the bout as a championship defence for Fury, it will be exciting.

Similar to how the Nevada Commission approved Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s fight with UFC fighter Conor McGregor as qualifying as a professional battle, that would undoubtedly be a tragic turn of events. In that match, Mayweather shattered Rocky Marciano’s illustrious 49-0 record.
