It appears that Inter Miami has left intriguing hints about Lionel Messi’s jersey number. The Major Soccer League team outbid Messi’s previous club Barcelona to sign the Argentine icon in what might be dubbed the largest deal in league history.
Although the 36-year-old icon isn’t yet a Herons player, the Florida organisation shocked the football community by hiring him, and their social media staff made sure to celebrate the Argentine’s birthday.

The South Beach club’s representatives conveyed their greetings through Instagram and included a graphic that stated “Feliz Cumple,” which is Spanish for “Happy Birthday.” Keen observers, however, realised that the letter ‘le’ was intentionally designed to resemble the number 10.
The 36-year-old enjoyed great success for Barcelona wearing number 10. He started off wearing number 30, then switched to number 19 for the 2005–06 campaign. Eventually, he received the illustrious number 10, which was worn by players like Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho, and Juan Roman Riquelme in the 2008–09 campaign.
After donning the illustrious shirt, Messi became become one of football’s finest players. He went on to win four Champions League trophies, eight La Liga championships, and seven Ballons d’Or. As his buddy and former teammate Neymar wore the No. 10 shirt, he transferred to PSG in the summer of 2021 and adopted the number 30.
