A day after announcing the schedule of the ICC World Cup 2023 in India, the BCCI has now announced the India tour of Ireland. India will return to Malahide, a year after they played a two-match T20I series in Dublin. A series that India won 2-0 under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.
However, India is slated to play a three-match T20I series this time in August. Similar to last year, the venue for the three T20I matches will be the Malahide Cricket Club Ground or The Village, Dublin.
Match No. | Date | Venue | Time |
1 | August 18 | Malahide Cricket Club Ground or The Village, Dublin | 3 PM (local time) |
2 | August 20 | Malahide Cricket Club Ground or The Village, Dublin | 3 PM (local time) |

India is currently the world’s top-ranked men’s T20 side. The boys in blue will most likely be led by Hardik Pandya instead of Rohit Sharma to manage the workload ahead of the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
“We’re delighted to welcome India back to Ireland for the second time in 12 months,” Warren Deutrom, chief executive of Cricket Ireland, said Tuesday.
“We saw two sold-out matches in 2022, so to have a three-match series this year should give even more fans the opportunity to enjoy what is always a memorable occasion.”
India will reach Ireland after they tour the West Indies next month, where Team Blue will play two Tests, followed by three ODIs, and lastly, five T20 internationals. This means that India will play a total of eight T20I matches in August.
