Far away from the din and bustle of the Formula 1 circus, McLaren and Australian driver Oscar Piastri paid a visit to the Australian cricket camp at the Lord’s and tried his hand in some cricket practice. The Formula 1 driver was invited by the Australian team to meet the team ahead of the Second Test match of the ongoing Ashes series.
Australia will lock horns with hosts England in the second Test match of the series at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. While the Aussies won the previous game in thrilling fashion, hosts England will come with all guns blazing in the upcoming Test match.

“Great to watch them get ready for the second test. Lucky enough to face a few balls from Nathan Lyon and Mitch Starc, so it’s been a really cool day seeing the guys at the top of their game,” Piastri told Sky Sports.
“I was checking the score in between sessions and stuff like that. We were back from Canada for the fifth day, so I got to watch all of that in its glory on TV. Pretty nerve-wracking few hours, but glad we got it done,” he added.
While the two juggernauts of Test cricket continue locking horns with each other, Oscar Piastri will be travelling to the Austrian mountains in Styria for the Austrian Grand Prix set to take place over this weekend.

Starting on June 28, the second Test of the ongoing five-match Ashes 2023 series between England and Australia will be played at the storied Lord’s Cricket Ground. The first Test match was won by the visiting Australian side, who are also the current Ashes holder, by two wickets, giving them a crucial 1-0 series lead. The hosts England will try to exact revenge for their loss in the first game of the series and tie the series.
Ahead of the second Test, English players, including the likes of Zak Crawley, Jimmy Anderson, and Ollie Robinson, have claimed that England will be even more aggressive and will come harder at the Aussies at Lord’s. While Crawley predicted that England would win by at least 150 runs, Anderson and Robinson warned Australia that they hadn’t seen the full wrath of the Bazball approach yet.
