Previously, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler met NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre. Following the meet up, a Women’s Tag Team Championship Unification Match was set up. However, on Friday Night SmackDown this week Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler won the Unification bout. WWE SmackDown: Women’s Tag Team Championship Unification Match
The match began with Shayna Baszler and Alba Fyre. Ronda Rousey tagged in and Alba Fyre delivered a dropkick to Ronda Rousey.
Following that, Shayna Baszler and Isla Dawn tagged in. Dawn tagged in and went on to work over Baszler. Shayna Baszler recovered and locked in the Kirifuda Clutch.
Ronda Rousey tagged in once again and locked in the armbar on Isla Dawn to pick up the win. Thus, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler defeated Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre to become the Unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
What Happened Following the Match?
Following the end of the match, Raquel Rodriguez who was on the commentary table stated that they wants a rematch. When asked who’s “they” by Baszler. Liv Morgan came out.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez then had a staredown with Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.
