In 2019, Singer tweeted out a direct challenge to Cruise, daring him to step into the octagon and fight him. He went so far as to question Cruise’s bravery, claiming that if he didn’t accept the fight, he would be deemed a coward forever. Bieber even tagged Dana White, the UFC Head Honcho, in his tweet, suggesting that he was willing to make the fight happen.
In an interview with TMZ Sports that followed shortly after Bieber’s tweet, Dana White was asked about his thoughts on potentially hosting the celebrity match in the UFC. The UFC Head Honcho shared his views on the matter, divulging his interest in organizing the fight and bringing it to fruition.
He stated, “It picked up a lot of steam and was everywhere. I’m not gonna say any names, but I’m just gonna tell you that I got a phone call from a couple of real guys who said they really do want to do this fight. And they believe that Tom Cruise would do the fight… If that’s true and everybody involved in this really wants to do it, [then] we can talk… I’d be an idiot not to make this fight… I didn’t think Floyd vs. Conor was gonna happen, anything is possible these days.”
Much like the recent challenge between Musk and Zuckerberg, a similar scenario played out in the past between Bieber and Cruise, with both individuals publicly challenging each other to a fight. Dana White, in a recent interview, confirmed that he has spoken with both Musk and Zuckerberg about the proposed fight. And that they are both genuinely committed to making it happen.
