Jammu and Kashmir’s own Owais Yaqoob is ready to make his way into the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) after he competes in the Matrix Fight Night scheduled for September. Owaisi will undergo specialized training from experienced professionals at the Nurmegomadov School in July, which is founded by none other than the UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.
With the added benefit of this elite training and his experience at the Matrix Fight Night, Yaqoob is all set to establish his name in the world of mixed martial arts and could potentially join the ranks of the UFC fighters soon.
Talking about it he stated, “In July, I will leave for Dagestan, Russia where I will get advanced training in Nurmagomedov school. I will be the first MMA fighter from Jammu and Kashmir to get training at this level. It requires a lot of hard work and a good profile in this sport to get trained in such a great academy of MMA.”
