The WBC ordered the bout, but “The Bronze Bomber” disobeyed when Wilder defeated Robert Helenius in his WBC obligatory semifinal. Ruiz contributed to Ruiz’s entry into the final by defeating Luis Ortiz, but Wilder chose to keep his options open.

In the middle of 2022, the World Boxing Council organised the four-person competition. To sanction a mandate from Wilder, Ruiz, Helenius, and Ortiz was the ultimate objective. Before Fury put his belt on the line in the UK last year, WBC officials acknowledged the plan.

Deontay Wilder vs Andy Ruiz Jr. Heavyweight Getting In Works-“This Changes Every day”: Boxing Fans Reaction

On December 3 in London, champion Tyson Fury was supposed to make a voluntary defence against Dereck Chisora. Oleksandr Usyk would be Fury’s opponent in a unification match for the undisputed belt. The victor would have agreed to compete in the WBC mandatory. As a result, Andy Ruiz and Deontay Wilder then would square off in a championship match for the open position.

The entire plan failed, as furious boxing fans and the media are now aware. None of the combatants were able to win their negotiations.

Usyk and Fury argued over the financial details. Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou were in the sights of Wilder at the same time. Joshua vs. Wilder was always a pipe dream,  These three fights are no longer on the table.

As per a tweet that stated “Deontay Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott has stated that Wilder could fight Andy Ruiz next before Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia in December:” It’s looking like that may be the routine that we end up going…Andy Ruiz is definitely one of the main options right now.”

Boxing fans commented frustrated, “ I love how this changes every day! I really can’t keep up.”

The only fight that seems to be getting into work is that of Deontay Wilder vs Andy Ruiz. Before becoming free agents, Wilder and Ruiz worked with PBC, which made it simple to finalise a TV contract for a Showtime Pay Per View.
