Earlier, Rohit shared a picture through his Instagram story, in which both his wife and daughter are seen standing in a beautiful garden with the sea visible behind them. The Indian skipper is on a much-needed break despite not being best with the bat.

Rohit was part of the Border-Gavaskar trophy after that he led Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 where he did not fired much. Coming to bat in WTC 2023 Final with no form, the right-handed batter got decent starts in both the innings. However, he could not play a typical ‘Rohit Sharma’ innings in both the chances he got to bat.

On the captaincy note, Rohit is under immense pressure losing several ICC events. Several former cricketers and fans have lashed out at him for his poor captaincy record in crunch situations. However, Sharma still has a chance to redeem himself with the Asia Cup and World Cup coming up. To note, India will be taking on Pakistan in the opening match of the Asia Cup 2023.

The encounter will take place on August 31. India defeated Pakistan in both team’s last meeting with Virat Kohli slaying Pakistani bowlers once again. However, this will be a 50-over format and Rohit will also be keen to perform well in the games.
