Chimaev will take part in the UFC 294 pay-per-view on October 21 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi if that is where he prefers to fight next.

The freestyle wrestler hasn’t fought in almost a year; this will be his first cage appearance following his convincing victory over Kevin Holland in September of last year. The celebrity claims that while aggressively seeking a battle, he has encountered numerous opponents who are unwilling to square up against him.

Uncertainty surrounds Chimaev’s opponent at UFC 294 but all indications appear to point to a crucial championship eliminator contest with former long-reigning champion Kamaru Usman.

A strong draw like Khamzat Chimaev will be able to promote a card by himself. But according to rumours, UFC 294 might be one of the year’s top combat sports events overall.

Islam Makhachev, who is prepared to make his second defence of the lightweight title, will probably be the main event of the Abu Dhabi card. He’ll probably be opposed by either Charles Oliveira or the winner of the rematch between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

Leon Edwards has declared himself available for UFC 294 even though it now looks highly improbable. Colby Covington will be the next in line to challenge Edwards for the welterweight championship.
