IND vs WI: The World Test Championship has concluded and with doubts regarding the date for the India vs Afghanistan series, the Indian players are set to get an extended period of vacation ahead of the India Tour of West Indies. The senior players of the Indian team like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to be out of the T20 series which will be headed by Hardik Pandya.

Reports have already claimed that the likes of Chesteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav are set to be dropped for the Two match Test series against the West Indies. In all possibility, Rohit and Virat will be play the 3 match ODI series and then get a longer break for the 5 match T20 series.

On the other hand, young names who shone brightly in IPL 2023 like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma can all earn up their maiden calls in the shortest format of the game. As there is no update as of now about the India vs Afghanistan series, it can be understood that the players will now enjoy a month long vacation before the next tour.

After that India will play a 3 match T20 series against Ireland before switching their attention to the Asia Cup. After the Asia Cup, India will face Australia for a 3-match ODI series as their preparation for the mega World Cup.
