2023 World Cup: After World Test Championship (WTC) loss, attention shifts to ODI World Cup for Team India. But before that, Rohit Sharma & Co are due to play a few bilateral series as well as Asia Cup 2023. With a crushing defeat against the hands of Australia, India have now got over four months’ time to prepare for the 2023 World Cup.
First up, India will play two Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20Is against West Indies in July. While the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Siraj will be part of the Test team, sources say that the trio might not play T20Is. After the West Indies tour, India will travel to Ireland to play three T20Is. In September, India will play Asia Cup.

2023 World Cup: India to play Australia in five T20Is, wind up 2023 by playing against South Africa
After the 50-Over World Cup, India will play five T20Is against Australia. After the T20 series, India will travel to South Africa to play two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is. The Rainbow Nation is the only place India are yet to win the Test series. Last time under Virat Kohli’s captaincy, India got a 1-0 but failed to win the remaining two Test matches.
The two Tests will be a good preparation for WTC third cycle. The five T20Is preceding the South Africa series will be a good preparation for the T20 World Cup set to be played in West Indies and the USA in 2024. India have not won any ICC Trophy event for the last 10 years.
