What Happened on WWE SmackDown?
On Friday Night SmackDown this week, Adam Pearce appeared to present Asuka with the new WWE Women’s Championship. Pearce unveiled the new title and puts it on Asuka’s waist. As soon as that happened, Charlotte Flair’s music played and the WWE Superstar walked out.
Flair then stated that she respects Asuka more than anyone but she would go after the new title belt. Asuka then accepted Flair’s challenge. The champ then went for the mist, but Flair ducked and sent the champ out of the ring. Later the match between Asuka and Charlotte Flair was made official. The match will take place on the June 30th episode of WWE SmackDown.
Also, before the encounter between Asuka and Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair was seen backstage with Adam Pearce. Pearce asked Belair not to attack Asuka on WWE SmackDown this week. He also talked about a rematch between Asuka and Belair. However, after Charlotte Flair challenged Asuka, Belair was once again seen backstage with Pearce, who mentioned that he will do something.
