Marnus Labuschagne never fails to amaze with his off-field antics. The number one ranked Test batter was at it yet again when the cameraman caught him taking a power nap on day three of the WTC Final against India at Oval. Labuschagne’s power nap was a short one though, as David Warner was out for just one run in the third over. When quizzed about his nap during post-match play, Labuschagne said, “I was just resting my eyes.”
Cricket Australia shared an image on Twitter about Labuschagne sleeping and gave a fitting caption, “Dreaming of a hundred?” The Aussie batter’s sleep post went viral in no time and received a hilarious response from the fans.
One of the users wrote, “he was not in the mood to bat in the second innings, but that’s how Test cricket is. India fighting hard.” Another user gave a hilarious response by saying, “Dreaming of Warner actually contributing in England.”

WTC Final: Marnus Labuschagne steadies Australia innings with a vital unbeaten 41, Australia in a dominant position at Oval
Speaking about day three of the Oval Test, Australia are in dominant position. First, they got a huge lead of 173 runs, and later they added 123 more runs to take the lead to 296. Labuschagne was the star of Australia as he top-scored with a gritty 41 runs. With still two days to go, the Aussies would be eager to bat India out of the contest. Labuschagne will be the key batter for them in the second innings.
He has got a start and would be eager to carry on for Australia. Pat Cummins would be hoping to set India a target of about 400 in the fourth innings. However, rain is predicted on day four, and we might see a few overs lose in the process. However, there is a reserve day on Monday if rain plays spoilsport on day five.
