Indian left-hand pacer Arshdeep Singh will turn out for Kent in the ongoing County Championship season. The franchise confirmed the news of the youngster’s availability for the next five matches starting from the one to be played against Surrey on Sunday. Earlier, Kent announced the signing of Arshdeep in March after the pacer impressed in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Overall, the left-hand pacer has played 26 T20I matches and has picked up 41 wickets at an average of 17.78. Arshdeep has played three ODIs as well. He also has played seven first-class games picking up 25 wickets. This is the first time he will be playing County Cricket.

Like all young players, Arshdeep is also excited to play red-ball cricket in England. The left-arm pacer is keen to improve his first class game in England and learn from the best.

Kent director of Cricket Paul Downton believes Arshdeep will continue his good form for Kent in the County Championship season.
“We’re delighted to have a player of Arshdeep’s potential join us for five matches this Summer. He has demonstrated that he has world-class skills with the white ball, and I am very confident he will be able to put those skills to good use with the red ball in the County Championship.”
Speaking about Arshdeep the pacer is coming off from a mixed bag IPL 2023 season for Punjab Kings. The pacer picked up 17 wickets in 14 matches this season.
