Manchester United MULL over sending 21-year old forward out on LOAN

Amidst ongoing internal investigations, Manchester United contemplates loaning out Mason Greenwood, despite dropped allegations.

Manchester United is considering loaning Mason Greenwood out for the rest of the season. The club’s internal investigation into the striker continues, despite the fact that allegations of attempted rape, controlling and abusive behaviour, and violence were dropped in February.

The 21-year-old has not played for United since January 30, 2022, when he was suspended by the organisation after being first charged with assault. The English international will be loaned out by the Red Devils to a European team for the entirety of the 2023–24 season.

When is Lionel Messi set to make his MLS Debut…

According to reports, United have intensified their investigation into Greenwood, who has two years left on his £75,000-a-week deal. If they determine that the player has damaged the reputation of the team, they may elect to release him. To give themselves more time for consideration, they may finish the evaluation and send him abroad.

When the initial claims were made in January of last year, Greenwood, an England cap, was placed on indefinite leave by United. He is still absent from the scene. It is unlikely that the Bradford-born academy product will join another Premier League team.

The United Academy graduate is thought to be most likely to end up in Italy, Spain, or Turkey. Greenwood has already had bids from the Super Lig. However, considering that Juventus and AC Milan have lately been linked to him, it is believed that he may want to play at a higher level.

The controversies surrounding the forward, though, may cause teams in Italy and Spain to be concerned about the optics of signing him. This is true even though the court case was dropped when important witnesses withdrew. Despite the Crown Prosecution Service’s assessment that “a conviction was no longer a realistic prospect.”
