To note, India is facing Australia at the Kennington Oval, London for the coveted trophy. Apart from these cricketers, some other public figures reached the venue to witness the epic clash.
Earlier in the day, India won the toss and opted to field first. The bowling side tasted some early success as opener Usman Khawaja got out without troubling the scorers. David Warner played well but fell just short of his fifty. After Lunch, Mohammad Shami scalped a crucial wicket of Marnus Labuschagne.
After the wicket of Labuschagne, it was all Australia as Travis Head and Steve Smith formed a 150+ run partnership. The left-handed batter scripted history as he went on to become the first batter to score a century in WTC Final. Meanwhile, the batting team has crossed the 250-run mark and are looking solid to post a daunting total on the board.
