IND vs AUS: After doing batting, expert, and commentary roles effortlessly, fans want Dinesh Karthik to also take up gardening role ahead of IND vs AUS WTC Final. The RCB wicketkeeper batter shared two pictures on Twitter about the Oval surface and asked fans for their views. The pitch at Oval looks a bit green and might aid fast bowlers. However, netizens are afraid of seeing the Oval surface as they will feel Australia will have an advantage.

IND vs AUS: Netizens ask Karthik to cut off grass from the Oval surface, Wicketkeeper gives a fitting response

Karthik shared the pictures by asking, “The pitch is ready for the WTC Final! A little browner as the grass is 6mm today compared to 9mm today. What would you choose if you win the toss?” One of the users was a bit tense seeing the Oval surface and asked Karthik to cut off some grass secretly at night.  

However, the wicketkeeper being his witty self-gave a fitting response and said, “The resume is already heavy with many roles.” Karthik said in reference to many roles has donned apart from playing cricket.

WTC Final: How will the Oval pitch pan out in IND vs AUS WTC Finale?

Both captains Pat Cummins and Rohit Sharma are still unsure about how the pitch will turn out for WTC Final at Oval. Karthik’s pictures suggested the pitch might be a bit greener and aid pacers more. However, the Oval pitch like the other England pitches, will be easier for batting on days 2 and three. The ground also historically favors spin.

The spin element can be seen on days four and five. As of now, both captains will decide the playing XI after inspecting the Oval pitch on Wednesday morning. Sean Abbott, who plays for Surrey, was quizzed about the pitch. The Australian replied as “a bloody quick” to Cricket.com.Au. “The ball was flying through. There was probably more nip in it for slower guys, there was a little bit of swing, but I can assure you there was some pace in the wicket.”

Ravi Ashwin also checked with the Oval curator about the pitch laid out for the WTC Final. Lee Fortis, the pitch expert said the pitch might a bit bouncy.
