Real Madrid target Kane as Karim Bezema’s replacement, Spurs’ unwillingness to entertain Premier League clubs could help

Harry Kane could be leaving Tottenham Hotspur during this traster window. Real Madrid have joined the race to sign him after Karim Benzema decided to leave. Manchester United are leading the race now, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy could prefer Madrid over a Premier League club. This could work as a boost for Madrid.

Harry Kane Transfer: Harry Kane’s contract with Tottenham Hotspur expires at the end of next season. He is ready to move on as Manchester United have shown massive interest in the player. With Karim Benzema now out of Real Madrid, they are also targeting Kane. Spurs will keep an asking price of £100 million. However, chances are, they would rather sell him to Real Madrid as their chairman Daniel Levy has no intention of selling their ace to another Premier League club. Real Madrid have confirmed that Karim Benzema will be playing his last match for Real Madrid this weekend. While Real Madrid are relying on building a team of youngsters, those youngsters are yet to show the calibre of Benzema. Hence, they will be looking for a replacement for Benzema. They are close to signing the extremely talented Jude Bellingham within the next few weeks. Then they will be focusing on their next target Harry Kane as Benzema’s replacement. Additionally, Tottenham Hotspur will favour them as Kane’s next destination.

Harry Kane had shown interest in leaving the club two years ago when Manchester City wanted to acquire him. However, Spurs were not ready to sell him at all. His current contract with them expires at the end of next season. With Kane wanting to leave Spurs, they might lose the player on a free transfer if they don’t sell him in the next two transfer windows. They have interest coming in from several clubs. However, the leading two clubs seem to be Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Harry Kane personally would like to stay in England. He wants to break Alan Shearer’s all-time goalscoring record in Premier League. Aland Shearer’s record is at 260 goals while Kane is at 215 goals. His family is also based in England. Additionally, with his wife pregnant with their 4th child, they would not prefer to make such a big move from England to Spain. Hence, it’s quite conspicuous that he would rather prefer a move to Manchester United rather than Real Madrid.

However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy could become a hindrance in that matter. He has no intentions of selling their ace player to a domestic rival club. There have been rumours that Levy will keep Kane’s asking price to £80 million for other clubs in Europe. However, that will be increased to £100 million when any Premier League club comes asking. Considering the factor, they will probably accept Real Madrid’s offer rather than Man United’s. Spurs and Madrid have formed a good working bond over the years as well.

Some of Madrid’s key players, like Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, and Jonathan Woodgate moved from Spurs. Spurs also re-signed Bale from Madrid when they were ready to sell him back. Madrid have also sold Sergio Reguilon and Rafa van der Vaart to Spurs. Even though Kane would prefer an English club, joining one of Europe’s most prestigious clubs can be alluring to him. Real Madrid will also offer him a salary of more than his current £300000 per week salary.
