WTC Finals 2023: Josh Hazlewood has begun his practice for the upcoming WTC Final 2023 which will feature India vs Australia. Despite his injury concerns and the player returning back to Australia to access his injury, Hazlewood has made it to the list. He has gone on to replace Mitch Marsh and Matthew Renshaw who were a part of the initial squad list. It is no surprise that Australia will want their best bowlers to spearhead the pace attack given the conditions of the pitch at the Oval.

Josh Hazlewood will be a part of a star-studded pacer lineup that comprises of himself along with Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Scott Boland. ICC on social media released a video that showcased the Aussie pacer getting into the groove. Hazlewood was seen bowling in the practice pitches and there was apparently no discomfort in his running or bowling action.

Now this is indeed bad news for the Indian team. A fit and in form Josh Hazlewood can wreak havoc on the Indian batting lineup and that too in English soil which will particularly favour the speed and bouncy nature of bowling.

Australia Squad: Pat Cummins (captain), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, David Warner

Standbys: Mitchell Marsh, Matt Renshaw
