Haas currently stands 7th in the constructors’ championship, one step ahead of the Alfa Romeo with a 2-point lead. The American team had points finish in Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Miami this season. The driver line up of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg is giving the team back-to-back good weekends. In such a scenario, a funding from Alfa Romeo can help them take this performance on the next level.

At the same time, Sauber title sponsor Alfa Romeo is not having a great outing this season so far. Driver duo of Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu have gone point-less in 4 out of the 6 races this season. As per RacingNews365, the sponsorship talks are roughly around $20 million dollars per year. Talks between Haas-Alfa Romeo Initially Scheduled in Imola

As per the sources, “Discussions between the two parties were planned for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix but that they were instead held in Monaco after the Imola event was cancelled. Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations did not deny the rumours of potentially a two-year deal also taking in 2025.”

More than that, it will also give the Italian brand a chance to be involved in Grand Prix racing. Similarly, Haas team principal Guenther Steiner also talked about the fact that he wants to make the team one of the top ones, competing for wins. In an interview reported by Formu1a.uno, Steiner elaborately discussed team goals. “The present objective this year is to move up in the Constructors’ Championship from last year. Getting better every year–it’s as simple as this–and at some stage, we want to be winning races,” said the team boss.
