In terms of engagement, JioCinema continues to set new benchmarks every day. The total video views on the platform have already crossed over 1300 crore video views, setting a world record. The streaming app has been adding millions of new viewers for IPL on daily basis.

The main attraction of the game was GT opener Shubman Gill who stroked a magnificent ton as his side barged through another final. During his marathon innings, Gill also took over RCB skipper Faf du Plessis for the most runs in the competition. To note, this was Gill’s third hundred in this year’s competition. The right-handed batter will look to emulate his performance in the crucial final match against Chennai Super Kings.

“Actually I went to the washroom to set my hair and didn’t think that I will be wearing this[On wearing the orange cap]. Yeah, It was sweating a lot, it went into my eyes too. Yeah, the short boundaries play a part, as a batter we need to keep that in mind and target according to that. When the bowlers bowled on the good area, we need to just think of taking doubles. I thought the ball held a bit in the first couple of overs, and there was no grass on the pitch so the ball was coming onto the bat nicely also due to some wet patches on the field the ball stopped swinging,” Gill said after his innings.
