ICC reveals Prize Money, WTC Final 2023 winner to get eye-watering Rs 13.22 crore

WTC Final 2023, IND vs AUS: The World Test Championship prize pool for the 2021–2023 cycle has been revealed by the ICC on Friday. A total of $3.8 million will be split among the nine teams. While the winner of WTC Final 2023 (India vs Australia) will receive a whooping prize money of Rs 13.32 crore ($1.6 million).

The Ultimate Test between Australia and India will start on June 7 at The Oval in London, and the winning side will take home more than just the WTC mace.

WTC Final 2023: Prize Money

The grand reward for the ICC World Test Championship 2023 Final winner is $1.6 million, and the prize for the runner-up is $800,000.

The tournament prize money is unchanged and will remain at $3.8 million, the same as it was for the championship’s initial season (2019–21).

New Zealand, captained by Kane Williamson, won the six-day WTC final against India by an eight-wicket margin in 2021, earning them $1.6 million in Southampton.

Each of the nine teams will receive a portion of the $3.8 million prize pool, with South Africa receiving $450,000 for taking third place in the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship standings.

England, who concluded their campaign in fourth place after a late push, will receive $350,000.

Sri Lanka, one of the top teams vying for a berth in the final, came in fifth place and took home $200,000 for their efforts.

The remaining teams, New Zealand (ranked No. 6), Pakistan (ranked No. 7), the West Indies (ranked No. 8), and Bangladesh (ranked No. 9), will receive a cheque for $100,000 apiece.

BCCI and adidas, a major global sports goods firm, have signed a pact. Starting in the next month, the India Cricket Team’s jerseys will be sponsored by the global sportswear brand adidas.

Rohit Sharma and the rest of the team will wear Adidas uniforms for the World Test Championship Final 2023 (WTC Final 2023), which gets underway on June 7 at Kennington Oval in London.
