Mumbai Indians have a 2-1 win-loss record in Qualifier 2 of the IPL. The Playoffs were introduced in 2011, and since then MI has been a part of three matches under Qualifier 2.

The first of the three came against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. RCB outclassed MI by 43 runs to enter their second IPL final.

The second instance came in 2013. This time, MI defeated the Rajasthan Royals by four wickets to enter the final at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Mumbai also lifted their maiden IPL trophy that season.

Last time, when Mumbai Indians were a part of Qualifier 2 in 2017, they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets in Bengaluru. Like in 2013, Mumbai beat Rising Pune Supergiant by one run and went on to lift the IPL trophy for the third time.

MI’s record in Qualifier 2 is bad news for Gujarat Titans fans. Rohit Sharma’s side hasn’t lost in Qualifier 2 for a decade now. Can MI maintain its impressive record, or will it be the Titans with the last laugh on their home turf?
