In the meanwhile, it all began with a heated exchange between Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli and Naveen during the RCB vs LSG game’s second innings. The Afghanistan pacer was seen in an intense exchange during the post-match formalities. Kyle Mayers and Kohli were also seen speaking before LSG coach Gautam Gambhir escorted the West Indies all-rounder away. But, things took a turn for the worse as Gambhir squared up against Kohli and the spat ensued.
Naveen shared Instagram stories of ‘sweet’ mangoes after RCB-LSG game when the Bangalore-based team struggled in other games. The pacer also tweeted a video that appeared to mock RCB and Virat Kohli following their loss to Gujarat Titans in the final game of the league stage, and even poked fun at them after they were eliminated from the playoff race.
In terms of the game itself, Naveen-ul-Haq put on his best IPL effort despite the MI demolishing LSG by 81 runs. Cameron Green, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma were all dismissed by the Afghanistan bowler during a stunning 4/38 spell. MI had a chance to score more than 200 runs in their first innings, but Naveen’s four-wicket haul limited them to 182/8. As a response, LSG were all out for 101.
