Despite not being a full-time MMA coach, “The Eagle” had provided coaching to some of his friends and teammates. After his retirement from MMA, ‘The Eagle’ has acted as a cornerman for fighters such as Islam Makhachev, Umar Nurmagomedov, Usman Nurmagomedov, and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
Under Khabib’s guidance, these fighters have remained undefeated, giving him a perfect coaching record for this year. As previously mentioned, Khabib retired from MMA earlier this year. However, in a recent post on social media, he shared a photo of himself with Belal Muhammad, Abubakar Nurmagomedov, Daniel Cormier, and Cain Velasquez, with the caption “Today was old school wrestling.”
